Garage Door Cable Repair in Las Vegas
The lift cables carry the door between the springs and the bottom brackets. When one frays or comes off its drum, the door goes crooked and the whole system starts damaging itself.
Signs you need this
- One side of the door sits higher than the other
- A cable is hanging loose or coiled off its drum
- Visible fraying or rust on the cable
- The door binds in the track and scrapes on the way up
Why a crooked door gets worse fast
Once one cable lets go, the other takes the whole load at an angle. Rollers get forced against the track, the bottom bracket twists, and panels start to bend. A cable is an inexpensive part; the damage a loose one causes over a week is not.
Cables and drums are replaced together
A cable that jumped its drum usually scored the drum on the way out. Fitting a new cable to a grooved drum simply repeats the failure, so we check both and quote both.

Common questions
Can I use the door until you get here?
Please do not. Leave the door down and use the side entry. Running an opener on a door with a failed cable is how bent panels and dropped doors happen.
Is a snapped cable a spring problem too?
Frequently. Cables and springs share the same load and the same age. We check both while we are there so you are not paying for a second call.
